Friends of KOGART
As in any big museum around the world from London to New York, here at KOGART, members can take part in exclusive events just like those of an elegant English club. If you would like to go places otherwise inaccessible, e.g. storehouses of major museums, restoration workshops, or to meet with writers and famous people, than the KOGART Friends is designed especially for you.
Cultured people, food for the soul in an elegant surrounding - that is what the KOGART Friends is about. Services, benefits, and programs are the advantages we provide, offer and organize only to members of KOGART Friends. Just as each major museum organizes a friend group - the Tate in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and all Guggenheim museums around the world from Venice to Bilbao - a KOGART Friends has also evolved at KOGART where likeminded people meet.
The membership of the Friends of KOGART is free of charge.
You may find more details about the private membership here.

Variations to a wall
Do you still have an empty wall in your home? KOGART can lend you a piece of quality art by contemporary Hungarian painters for free. We can prepare everything. Our curator selects pictures and sculptures from the workshops of the artists, and during an entertaining social event at KOGART you can chose the work with which you would like to live for a while. You can take it home with you, enjoy it and after few months, exchange it for another. Really! It’s not such an unbelievable idea, is it?
KOGARTist
Literary and art programs exclusively for the members of the KOGART Friends.
Literary evenings like our previous evenings when, for example, Lajos Parti Nagy and Pál Békés read their short stories on chocolate upon request while a master confectioner made sweets from fine Belgian chocolate for our guests. Or, for example, when four writers simultaneously wrote short stories on a given theme, and before their completion, the audience guessed how those stories ended.
Cultural history evenings when we go ”behind the scenes” of famous cafes, old craftsmen and artists. Or, for example, when we hear an expert lecture about brilliants, platinum and gold, and then view special collections at a fashion show.
Euro weekend
These are weekend visits to the major museums of Europe guided by a noted art historian. Have you ever wanted to know more about an artist or a piece of artwork than what you found in a guidebook? Or perhaps you did not understand something, but did not bother or dare to ask about it? Or if you like entertaining lectures, but not all the hustle of a guided tour than these weekends are ideal for you! During these tours the most capable professionals talk about the artists, works and collections in order for us to view and appreciate them with a greater understanding. However, when you leave the museum, you are free to do as you please, travel as you like without waiting for or humouring anyone; Rome, Barcelona and Vienna in the footsteps of Art with art historians.
