Charity auction at the exhibition of the KOGART Contemporary Art Collection
On March 24th, 2011, Thursday at 6:00 PM charity auction at the exhibition of the 2010 annual selection of the KOGART Contemporary Art Collection. Ten of the artworks now exhibited will be put up for a charitable auction, and the proceeds will be donated to those ten organizations that were selected by the Charity Committee from among applicants to the competition that was announced in November 2010. Miklós Mészöly - Alaine Polcz collection at KOGART
In Dec 2007, the Gábor Kovács Art Foundation presents the graphics, oil paintings and Transylvanian glass icons, which formerly adorned the home of Miklós Mészöly and Alaine Polcz in Városmajor Street.
Fresh Europe 2007 Wien
It is part of the goals of the Gábor Kovács Art Foundation to vitalize the links of Hungarian contemporary art and the international scene. The foundation now offers, after Berlin and Brussels, the art lovers of Vienna a chance to see a selection of diploma pieces by Hungarian, Austrian, Czech, Polish, and Slovenian artists in the Collegium Hungaricum, between October 11 and November 10, 2007.

My Master, Szőnyi – The memorial exhibition of László Patay and István Szőnyi
In a series that presents classic oeuvres of contemporary Hungarian art, the Gábor Kovács Art Foundation now celebrates the 75th birthday of painter László Patay with a memorial exhibition. What really distinguishes this display is that Patay’s most important oils, drawings and fresco designs are shown in the company of a representative selection from the oeuvre of his one-time master, István Szőnyi. Will be on view through 21st September - 25th November.
In memoriam Tibor Csernus
The Gábor Kovács Art Foundation presents the exhibition in memoriam Tibor Csernus who died in Paris in 2007. Tibor Csernus was great figure in Hungarian and international painting. The exhibition is availabel from 10 to 12 of September.
FRESH EUROPE 2007
With a tradition well under way, it is now the fourth time KOGART is presenting an exhibition that features newly graduated artists in July 2007. The fresh group of Hungarian and international artists is 40-strong, guaranteeing a show on the second and third storeys of Kogart House that is extensive and colourful.

MASTERPIECES IN OROSHÁZA – A SELECTION FROM THE GÁBOR KOVÁCS COLLECTION
Kovács Gábor has been purchasing works of art for fifteen years, with the intention of creating a collection that offers an eloquent representation of the history of modern Hungarian painting. Covering the period from the early 18th century to the present, the collection is comprised of nearly 400 pieces. Seventy outstanding works from this collection were now on view in the Municipal Gallery of Orosháza from April to June 2007.

Spyro Gyra concert at the KOGART House
On 21st May, 2007 SPYRO GYRA gave a special concert at the KOGART House. Their album „Wrapped in a dream” was nominated for a Grammy in 2007 in the category of Best Pop Instrumental Album. Spyro Gyra, established in the 1970s is one of the legendary bands within the genre of ‘smooth’ jazz. They have created 29 successful records and sold 20 million copies.
Following the concert Jay Beckenstein, Tom Schuman, Julio Fernandez, Scott Ambush and Bonny Bonaparte joined us for an exclusive galadinner.
THE FACE OF ART - THE FACE OF ARTIST
The exhibition of the Hungarian National Gallery in KOGART from 14 March to 21 July 2007. The Hungarian National Gallery celebrated the 50th anniversary of its establishment in 2007. To commemorate the event, the Gallery organized a large-scale exhibition, which featured Hungarian painting and sculpture from the past two centuries, self-portraits and portraits the artists made of, and for, one another.
ISTVÁN HARASZTŸ (ÉDESKE) AND HIS CONTEMPORARY COLLECTION
István Harasztÿ is a celebrated Hungarian sculptor. His own exhibitions are always notable events in Hungarian art life, but KOGART now upped the ante when it offered the chance to meet not only the artist, but also the art collector and the man. Beside 130 of the artist’s own sculptures, mobiles and paintings, the display presented Édeske’s own collection of some 300 artworks from January to March 2007.
MUSEUM CIRCLE
15 December 2006 - 85 painters, 142 works, 30 lenders: outstanding works held in public and private collections were on view in the Hungarian National Museum at a display jointly organize by the Museum and KOGART. The title referred not only to the venue, but also to the fact that the material was drawn from a wide variety of collections, both public and private
The Kovács Gábor Art Foundation organised the traditional KOGART Saloon for the third time December 2006. At the same time we showed a very significant French collection from the XX. century on the first floor of KOGART House. The memorable artists are Francis Picabia, Fernand Léger, Jean Dubuffet vagy Andy Warhol.

2006 was already the third year when the Gábor Kovács Art Foundation presented fresh graduates of academies of art in Hungary and other countries, together with the works of some of their masters. This year’s show was entitled “MANIA, or, passion compels."
Brand new KOGART Wine: RAJNAI RIZLING 2006
The wine was prepared for us by Zsolt Liptay in the winery of Pannonhalmi Apátsági Pincészet. Its colour is intensively golden yellow, the fragrance is moderately intense, reminds us of fruits and flowers.

István Poór grants his American legacy to Kovács Gábor Art Foundation at the summer of 2006. The legacy contains almost 200 graphics of Lajos Szalay.
III. Series of Art Stamps
The Hungarian Post launched the III. Series of Art Stamps -Contemporary Artist in July 2007. The stamps show the work of Zsuzsa Péreli, László Fehér and István Haraszty from the KOGART Collection.
The KOGART Brand

Béla Kondor, one of the most important visual artists of the second half of the 20th century, would have been 75 in 2006. Though working for a mere one and half decades before passing away prematurely, he created a new and individual painterly idiom that not only reflected on its own age, but went on to influence visual art to this day. We opened the "New York" exhibition of Tamás Révész on 17 March 2006.
Pulitzer Memorial Prize-winning photographer Tamás Révész first presented his 62-piece series of black-and-white photos in 2004 in Tokyo, and “New York” was enthusiastically received by visitors and reviewers alike. Through an individual, often lyrical, approach, Révész avoids commonplaces, and lets the viewer in to the everyday life of the city
